Frequently asked questions.
How do we book you for our wedding?
Booking is easy. I book on a first come first serve basis so it is best to book early. Just look over and sign a simple wedding contract and pay a small (nonrefundable) retainer to hold your date. This can all be done online and once completed the date is yours and we are good to go. I am also more than happy to meet with you in person to discuss the details.
How long before we see our photographs?
My turnaround time is 4 - 6 weeks. Occasionally it may take a little longer during busy season as all my weddings are processed by me; each and every image is custom edited, getting lots of love and attention.
I love your photojournalistic style but do you take family/group photos too?
Yes, of course. Although almost all of my wedding day coverage is natural and un-posed. I do understand some family members may want some group photos of the wedding and I am happy to take them. I would encourage typically no more than 5 group shots, and with the help of a bridesmaid or friend to collect everyone, we can do these quickly (usually after the ceremony) and get you back to enjoying your wedding and guests as you should be.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes. I shoot with two professional digital cameras and have extra backups just in case.
Do we have to buy reprints from you?
Nope. You are free to print anything you like from the high resolution files I provide you. However, you may also purchase prints directly from your online gallery which will be of the highest quality, as I use an outstanding internationally recognized pro lab for all my prints and albums.
How many images do we get?
For full day coverage you will get approximately 400 - 500 high resolution, fully color corrected and edited images.
How much of the day do you cover?
My typical coverage is from an hour before the bride leaves for the ceremony to about an hour into the dancing. This is basically all day coverage. If you are having a multi day wedding or an unusual schedule, I can quote you a package based on your needs.
Do you travel outside of Santa Cruz and the Bay Area to photograph weddings?
Yes I do. Photographing in new and far away places inspires me. We can work out a package no matter where you plan to get married.
